Reducing Manual Processes and Costs While Enhancing Growth

After almost a century in business, Lyons Holiday Park is still looking for growth and development opportunities while maintaining its family values.
Reason For Change
Year on year, Lyons aims to grow and retain its loyal customers while also attracting new business. Critical in doing this is managements’ continual investment in the parks’ attractions and entertainment.

Lyons identified that to increase customer experience, repeat visitors and attract new holidaymakers; they needed a solution to speed up transactions across the business and capture more reliable data that could be used to make better business decisions.
As well as improving customer satisfaction and retention, it was important for the Lyons’ team to enhance the experience of their front-of-house staff and their finance team. After consulting with Kamarin Computers, Lyons discovered KCPOS, a multi-discipline EPOS system that could integrate with their Sage 200 accounting software, across all their sites.
“We intend to implement KCPOS at all of our parks. Having an integrated solution in our bars, sales offices, our receptions, and hotels means every night all the tills will post automatically into Sage 200 so we no longer have a load of manual processes.”
KCPOS enables Lyons to reduce their resource of bookkeeping, while significantly improving the accuracy of their transactions from the point of sale. Nearly all of their business transactions now go through the tills, including; the sale of static caravans, holiday caravan hire and selling tickets for events.
“We haven’t actually had to increase our finance team, I’ve been able to support this growth in the business through automating more of the processes, so it’s hats off to KCPOS and Sage 200. The key thing is that KCPOS can grow with us and I’m comfortable that they can deliver as we continue to expand our number of parks.”
