Our House Charities

There’s Always Time To Help Others

At Kamarin Computers we take our charitable responsibilities very seriously, as well as an immense amount of pride in the hard work and planning we do to fundraise for worthy organisations. As a company we follow the mission statement, ‘Best Today, Better Tomorrow’, in everything we do, and that extends to our charitable contributions.

We are pleased to announce that 2019’s chosen charities are SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) and Women V Cancer

These two remarkable organisations are incredibly close to Kamarin Computers and our people, so we will go above and beyond to meet our £3000 target.

The Social and Charity Committee

The Social and Charity Committee at Kamarin is internally managed by employees and runs independently from the company management, but everyone is welcome to join.

Our staff are asked to suggest which charities we fundraise for and we go with the majority of votes. As it is the team who put forward the charitable organisations, they are always close to our hearts.

In 2018 we exceeded our £2k target and raised a fantastic £4.2k for Jerry Green Dog Rescue, with Kamarin providing half of the sum!

“It’s easy to get caught up in our day to day lives and to focus on our own priorities and concerns. Our nominated charity gives us all the opportunity to stop and think about others. Not only that, it gives us a platform to do something about it, to take action and make a difference!”

George Smith, Managing Director

Our first fundraising event of the year will take place from Thursday 21st February to Saturday 23rd February, with a 48-hour Gameathon!

The Company

As one of the country’s leading IT and Business Software providers, you will be joining a business full of challenges and opportunity. Our core products include IT Infrastructure, IT Security, Accounts Software, EPOS and Telecoms. Over the past 35 years we have been delivering excellent solutions and service to our 600 (and counting) customers, and now we are looking for someone else to join the team and help!

We are an ambitious company striving to be excellent in everything we do and we take the personal development of our team very seriously. In fact, it’s at the core of our whole strategy, so you will be given the chance to grow and develop through a personal development and coaching plan. We also believe in rewarding our staff for all of their hard work. This means 25 day’s holiday (plus the Christmas break off), pension scheme, cake on your birthday, time off to support local charities and a performance related profit share. If you think Kamarin sounds like the sort of company you’d like to work for, then we’d love to hear from you.

Pictured above is Jethro Shearring (centre), Dove House Hospice’s Fundraising Coordinator, who came by in person to thank us for our fundraising efforts. He was greeted by staff John (left) and Tim (right), who ran the Tough Mudder last year to raise funds for Dove House.

“We would like to thank all the staff members at Kamarin Computers for your amazing support throughout 2017. Your efforts will help to ensure that we can continue to be at the forefront of end of life care for the 25 years and beyond”.

– Jethro Shearring, Fundraising Coordinator

“This year we want the whole company involved. Four major charity events will be planned and managed by a company director, which will encourage employees to get involved and ensure that they are doing their bit to help. Kamarin consider this a social responsibility and fundraising for charities close to us is a part of our company culture. The amount initially raised, will be matched by the company, so it is vital that everyone contributes”.
