KCPOS Major Upgrade with Launch of V2.18
This month sees the release of the latest update for KCPOS- Version 2.18.001.
Packed with a large number of enhancements to the software, the update is one of the most comprehensive updates for the software yet!
The main difference in this update is that the link has been completely rewritten which means increased stability and advanced back up on the system. It also features a wide range of additional functionality to improve the KCPOS system even further.
Key features of the upgrade include items being grouped on the Z- read for wet and dry items, multi buy discounts applied by category, prevention of duplicate barcodes, the ability to have interval drinks, partial search by postcode, product images displayed on the till and group discounts.

Congratulations to Woodfords for £100,000+ KCPOS Order
KCPOS partner, Woodfords Computers, have recently secured a prestigious deal for 44 KCPOS tills. The deal, which was generated through their own marketing activities, has resulted in the installation of 44 tills for Abakhan Fabrics- 16 in their North Wales flagship store and a further 28 tills in branches located throughout the UK.
Abakhan specialise in offering value for money throughout their vast range of fabrics, yarns, crafts, sewing accessories and trimmings. Previous to the install, Abakhan did have an EPOS system but the technology was old and the company wanted to update to a more modern system.
The system sold by Woodfords Computers gives Abakhan all the benefits of a fully integrated system. All 44 KCPOS tills will integrate with their back office accounts systems as well as additional functionality such as integrated weighing scales, which Abakhan use to weigh the fabric they sell in their stores.
Developed by Kamarin Computers, KCPOS not only provides a wide range of touch screen functionality but also seamlessly integrates with many of the leading brands of accounting software. This rare functionality empowers businesses with a whole host of benefits as all data is available on a single system throughout the company.
Abakhan have been delighted with the system overall and have already begun to see the benefit of an accounts integrated EPOS system.
The Abakhan deal is one of the largest deals obtained through partners since distribution through partner channels began in 2008 and shows the ongoing effectiveness of the partner channel throughout the UK and Europe.

New MD for Kamarin
New Managing Director for Kamarin - Philip Dawson
Kamarin Computers would like to welcome Philip Dawson as their new Managing Director.
With more than 12 years experience, Phil has worked in a range of different industries.
During these years, his primary role was to generate new business opportunities by creating new markets and launching new technologies.
As Managing Director of Kamarin Computers, Phil will be enhancing both the profile of the business and the product portfolio. He aims to do this by increasing the awareness at all levels and to continue the progressive success of the company.
As for what the future holds, Phil believes that areas of weakness that exist in the EPOS market need to be exploited. This will allow new opportunities to be identified, which will help everyone who currently sells KCPOS.
“The challenge for me is to take KCPOS to the next level and target new markets,” said Phil, “Based on my experiences of this market we have everything we need to achieve our expected goals.”
New KC Stock Manager Update
The latest KC Stock Manager Update has now been released with a number of new features, further increasing its existing functionality.
Now KC Stock Manager can be used to create sales orders and print orders for delivery notes to speed up processing at trade counters.
The product has a new look interface for PC and handheld computers as well as faster data transfer and retrieval.
The update includes remote data monitor for sending and receiving data and there is now no need for manual importing of hand held data files and
these are now all automatic. Optional hand held user log on security is also available.
KCPOS 50% Competitive Upgrade Discount
The competitive upgrade discount to replace existing EPOS software with KCPOS ends on 31st December 2009!
Kamarin Computers are providing a 50% discount on KCPOS software to replace existing EPOS software. This offer applies on a like for like basis with customers paying for AMC.

Kamarin Computers to host Pegasus User Group – October 15th 2009
