It used to be difficult maintaining a busy warehouse; with increased pressures from trying
to balance cost and low inventory levels and next day delivery, not to mention degradable stock with 'sell by dates' and the inevitability of technological items becoming obsolete. It's easy to see how these factors are influential enough, without taking the fact of wastage, spillage and pilfering into the equation.

That was until KC Stock Manager arrived. KC Stock Manager is a fully accounts package integrated hand-held device which manages the four main warehouse duties, namely: Goods In, Goods Out, Stock Transfers, Purchase Ordering and Stock Take.

KC Stock Manager integrates with KC Back Office, Enterprise from IRIS Exchequer Software, Pegasus Opera II and any other off the shelf or bespoke accounts package. It works with a variety of handsets depending on exactly what you need from KC Stock Manager.

KC Stock Manager allows you synchronise all of your stock data with your accounts package and a
hand-held scanner device which enables you to do stock transactions and stock takes while your store
is fully open - negating the need for half day closing, or weekend stock taking.

Goods In

Each time a delivery arrives, KC Stock Manager allows you to scan and quantify stock as it comes in,
comparing it to exactly what was ordered on your supplier purchase order. KC Stock Manager allows
for part orders received, damages in transit and missing stock. Each time an item of stock is scanned,
a record of the arrival time and the staff member scanning is made for future reference.

KC Stock Manager can support a multi-process warehouse, allowing movement of stock in one
stage: straight to bin operation, two stages: quarantine and process operation or any number of
stages. KC Stock Manager can show the warehouse worker default bin number, and any
amendments that have been to its location, whist supporting serial and batch, single and
multi-bin items.

KC Stock Manager allows data transfer to your accounts package on-demand at
any time of the day. This allows received items to be picked for manufacture or
delivery on the delivery date.

You can choose to print the picking list, which includes stock location and which
carton or pallet each item should be packed into, as well as any delivery notes for
that specific item.

Stock Transfers

Stock transfers happen all the time, whether it be in the warehouse to
quarentine or to return to supplier, or outside the warehouse or to other
sites. By the nature of moving stock, you face incurring risks of loss,
pilfering and damage in transit. KC Stock Manager tracks stock movement
from bins or warehouse locations to destination and can record any
number of hand-overs on the way. These could be with warehouse operatives,
van drivers, showroom deliveries or events, sales reps, service managers and
more, with each step recording time and date, stock adjustments and username
so you know what state and location your stock items are in at anytime during transfers.

Stock Take

With KC Stock Manager, the head ache of a stock take goes away. KC Stock Manager eradicates manual paper based stock takes, where miss-interpretation of stock levels are commonplace. KC Stock Manager allows you to freeze your stock position in your accounts package for all your warehouses and clone the data into the handset. Your warehouse operatives can then scan in and quantify stock, even if that stock is spread over many bins, locations or warehouses and reconcile levels directly with the data from your accounts package. As KC Stock Manager makes allowances for stock levels based on the difference between the frozen stock and the live stock in your accounts package you can carry on trading straight through a stock take, and KC Stock Manager will still provide you with current stock levels.

You can print the outcome of your stock take, highlighting whichever aspects you choose, showing vacancies or differences greater that a defined discrepancy.
